As seen on the Google blog yesterday Google announced the Google Chrome OS. While I have not yet seen this I am skeptical of how it will revolutionize the way we compute. Some have speculated that Chrome OS will take on Microsoft Windows®. I think this outcome is doubtful, however, I think there is an available market here for a particular type of user that is willing to ONLY use their computer when connected to the internet. I think this will be a fad that will fade out, especially quick for those with unreliable internet connections. That said I am excited to see where this goes, the dent it makes in the Windows Operating System market will only be temporary but, could Google finally prove for us that cloud computing is not a viable solution for everyone.

Once again Google should make things interesting!
